MARTHA GOODSON POOLE ANDERSON, SCMrs. Martha Goodson Poole, formerly of Boulevard Heights, Anderson and more recently of Ellenburg Nursing Center, departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2007.Born in Royston, GA, moving to Anderson, SC with her family in her early childhood years, she attended Hardin's Private School and Carolina Business School. She retired from Anderson Memorial Hospital Business Office. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a charter member of the building committee of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of the Wesley Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Poole was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of W.A. Hudgins Post #14, The American Legion. She was a daughter of the late Burton R. and Nancy Rebecca Phillips Goodson and granddaughter of the late Judge James Tolly and Martha E. Phillips and B.T. and Sallie R. Goodson.She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mildred G. Murdock of Aiken, SC and a brother, Howard Goodson of Anderson, SC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.She was preceded in death by brothers, Claude J. Goodson, Luiaco (Jerry) Goodson, Harold Goodson and sisters, Mrs. Desota G. Wooten and Mrs. Inez G. Vandiver.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Paul Frey and Dr. Michael L. Vandiver officiating. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her brother, Howard Goodson, 312 Long Forest Circle, (Stonewall Woods), Anderson, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1809 N.
