RADFORDMAY 30, 1922 - OctoBER 6, 2008ANDERSON, SCMartha Honea Radford, age 86, wife of the late Neil Radford, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Willow Creek Living Center in Iva.Born in Anderson, SC on May 30, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Waymon Honea and Burkie Burton Smith. Mrs. Radford retired from the textiles industry and had been employed by Abney Mills and later the Singer Company. She was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church and was formerly a longtime member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughter, Judy Moorhead and husband Don of Anderson, her sons, Charles Brooks and wife Sandra of Anderson and Brian Brooks and wife Pamela of Anderson; her brother, Chafer Honea and wife Joyce of Mount Pleasant; and her sister, Julia Goodson of Greenville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kevin Moorhead, Kyle Moorhead, Amanda DeVore, Brandon Brooks, Katherine Brooks, & Richard Brooks; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Sanders and Lena Wright; and two brothers, Carlton Honea and Andrew Honea.A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, October 9th, at the Old Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Dr. Jack Couch.The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am on Thursday, October 9th, at The McDougald Funeral Home.The family will be at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Post Office Box 285, Anderson, South Carolina 29622.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements
