Hampton Street, Anderson, SC and wife of the late Claude Vernon Sanders, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Ellenburg Nursing Home in Anderson.Born in Abbeville, SC on December 10, 1919, Mrs. Sanders was a daughter of the late Thomas W. Burgess and Rossie Simpson Burgess. She was retired from the textile industry and was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include daughters, Claudia Janice Ferguson and Wanda Jean Sanders Keaton, both of Anderson, SC; two brothers, T. C. Burgess and Fred Burgess, both of Anderson, SC; four sisters, Willie Mae Adams of Anderson, SC, Vera Godfrey of Rock Hill, SC, Irene Wilson of Anderson, SC and Ethel Burton of Shelby, NC; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Dennis Sanders; a daughter, Delores Ann McAbee and three sisters, Margie Taylor, Doris Ricker and Lula Carey.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 2:30 pm at Old Silverbrook Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Mark Daniels.
