Martha "Mott" Bryant Stanley, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Troy Elvyn Bryant and the late Delia Stone Bryant. She was a graduate of Girl's High and worked at AT&T for many years. Mott was a member of First Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Stanley; two sons, Joey Stanley and his wife Melinda, of Simpsonville, SC, and Daryl Stanley, of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Elvyn L. Bryant and his wife Carolyn, of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Dottie B. Lee and her husband Randy, of Iva, SC, and Lu Broome and her husband Bill, of Iva, SC; several nieces and nephews; two dogs, Trapper and Thor; and two cats, Tigger and Jack. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Riendeau. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First Creek Baptist Church, 9511 Abbeville Highway, Iva, SC with Reverend Brandon McManus and Pastor Donnie Murdoch officiating. Interment will follow at First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home.
