Martha Elizabeth Cheek Strickland, 91, of Anderson , SC, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House. Born July 31, 1928 in Williamston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jeff Cheek and Frances Eunice Neal Cheek. She was married to the late Robert Strickland, Sr. Martha retired from BASF and was a charter member of Burdine Road Church of God. She was an avid bowler and loved traveling and shopping. She is survived by her children, Robert Strickland, Jr., Larry Strickland, Cathy Ramsey, Rick Strickland and Tommy Strickland; brother Ray Cheek; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 10, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Curtis Lanier officiating. Due to the current situation, those attending will be asked to practice social distancing. The family will be at their respective homes.
