Martha Tillman, age 73, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Anderson County on March 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Marion Timms and the late Bessy Harris Timms. She devoted her life to taking care of her family, and enjoyed time spent with her husband fishing and hunting. She was a wonderful cook, an avid gardener and loved her flowers. Martha's favorite past time was Dollar Store deals. She was a member of Iva First Assembly of God, where she sung in the church choir She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Willie "Billy" Tillman, of the home; daughters, Louise Wooten and her husband Scottie, of Iva, Julie Tillman, of Iva; a son, Clarence Tillman, of Iva, SC; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers. The Funeral Service will be held at Iva First Assembly of God on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Charles Howell and Mrs. Helen Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the family's residence. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
