Martha Spenler Wallace, age 74, of Easley, SC, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born July 20, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Spenler and Anna Mae Martin Spenler. She was also preceded in death by her son, Trey McKensie; brother, Lewis Spenler; and great niece, Kristen McGuire.

Martha was a graduate of Clemson University receiving her degree in nursing. She specialized as a nurse in the OR and plastic surgery retiring from nursing after 42 years. She was a true caregiver with a strong work ethic who loved her patients. She enjoyed reading, birdwatching, and astronomy.

She is survived by her husband Frederick Lance Wallace of the home; brother, Bill Spenler (Aileen Takahashi); sister-in-law, Sally Ann Jefferson (Robert); stepson, Mathew Lew Wallace (Tammy); nephew, Darren Spenler (Beth); niece, Janelle McGuire (Mark); great niece and nephews, Ross Spenler (Ali), Mitchell Spenler (Gabbie), Katie Hilton (Austin), and Joel McGuire (Rachel).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with nurses honors presented by the Nurses Honor Guard of South Carolina. A concluding service will follow at Old Stone Church Cemetery.
