Martha Human Whiten, 75, of Anderson, SC passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born November 16, 1942, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Frank Human and the late Wylena Daniel Human. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Human and sister, Frances Tench. Martha was a childcare provider with the Boulevard Child Enrichment Center and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. She was a member of the Rick Smith Sunday school class and the seniors group. She participated in the Egg Stuffers for Easter, a special Friday breakfast group and Tuesday pizza group and many others. She also loved crafts and cooking. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Whiten; son, Keith Whiten of Anderson; daughter, Sharon Spake of Pendleton; sister, Lynn Glenn of Greenwood; and was a loving mawmaw to her granddaughter, Elizabeth Spake. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Covenant Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm with Dr. Steve Silvey, Mr. Rick Smith and Rev. Robbie Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Veterans Mausoleum. The family will be at the residence.
