Ford, Sr., age 84, of Belton passed away on Saturday, January 04, 2014 at his residence. Born in Belton, on March 2, 1929 he was the son of the late Charlie Ford and the late America "Merki" Stanton Ford. Mr. Ford owned and operated Ford's Body Shop for sixty years. He was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Martin Ford, Jr., and his wife Cathy, of Belton, SC, Willie Joyce Harper and her husband Robert, of Belton, SC., and Marion Kelly of Belton, SC., six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Willie Faye Wright Ford; brothers, John, Bill and Franklin Ford; sisters, Helen Perry and Annie Mae Pepper. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, prior to the service.
