Marvin Burton Blanton, age 83, of Belton, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Born January 29, 1942, in Greenville County, SC, he was a son of the late Henry Blanton and Lois Peterson Blanton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Larocca Blanton; brothers, Glen, Jack, and Randy Blanton; and sister, Martha Rojas.

Marvin was a veteran of the Untied States Army and was a diesel mechanic with Panagakos Asphalt Paving. He loved to work and had just retired in January at 83 years old. He enjoyed tinkering on equipment, working in his vegetable garden, raising chickens, and driving his tractor. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Delores Snider of Anderson, SC, and Mary Ann Tucker (Joshuajames) of Starr, SC; grandchildren, Leigha Smith (Cody) of Anderson, SC, Corey Tucker of Greer, SC, and Aaron Tucker (Karitzia) of Blue Springs, MO; and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 12:30-1:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel. The committal service with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
