Marvin "Buddy" Brooks Anderson, SC Marvin "Buddy" Brooks, age 71, of 403 Edith Street, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Starr, SC, on July 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Clyde Henry Brooks and the late Thethel Hayes Brooks. He worked at Richbourgs Grocery Store for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Bright Brooks; a son, Chris Brooks and his wife Annette, of Iva, SC; a sister, Harriet Brooks Dunn and her husband James, of Anderson, SC; and three grandchildren, Haleigh Brooks, Samantha Brooks and Abigail Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Brooks, Jr. The Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Tommy Alewine officiating.
