Born in Burlington, Iowa on August 9, 1927, Mr. Gelatt was the son of the late Gerald and Blanche Gelatt. He was a graduate of Iowa State University and was a retired Architect and Engineer. He also served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Gelatt of the home; children, Glenn Gelatt, Teri Mendez and Keith Farren, all of Florida, Kathy Welden and Kimberly Martin, both of Anderson, SC and Kristine Phillip of Hartwell, GA; sister, Vivian Gonsolley of California and thirteen grandchildren.A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Mark Hopkins.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 3, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Meals on Wheels, P.O.
