Marvin Ann Ashley Pruitt, age 86, of Anderson, SC, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. Born September 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Marvin James Ashley and Anna Lewis Montgomery Ashley. She was married to the late Harrison E. Pruitt. She retired from Bell South, now known as AT&T with over 40 years of service. She loved cooking for family and friends and canning from the vegetable garden. Ann loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Joe Ryan of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan Ryan (Ashley) of Huntsville, AL, Barrett Ryan (Andie) of Anderson, SC, Michael Ryan (Alexa) of Anderson, SC, Susannah Karekel (Nick) of Anderson, SC, and Rebekah Martin (Richard) of Anderson, SC. There is also a loved one, Bristol Johnson of Anderson, SC. Her cherished great grandchildren are Jake Ryan, Mason Ryan, Eli Ryan, Katherine "Kate" Ryan, Kolby Ryan, Madeline "Maddie" Karekel, Jackson "Jack" Karekel and Louis Martin. Also, two sisters, Miriam Hanks (Gerald) and Marian Ashley. In addition to Ann's parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twin great grandchildren, Kinley Anne and Kameron Joseph Ryan. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
