The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY MARVIN SPAKE December 27, 1925 - December 15, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Marvin Doyle Spake, age 82, husband of Dorothy Daniel Spake of 1632 Sandy Hollow, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on December 27, 1925, Mr. Spake was a son of the late Spurgeon Spake and Dessie Patterson Spake. He was a 1943 graduate of Boys' High School and played on the high school football team winning the State Championship in 1941. He retired from Stauffer Chemicals. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Daniel Spake of the home; son, Mike Spake and his wife, Patty; grandson, Shane Spake and his wife, Tonya; granddaughter, Alyson Burriss and her husband, Jonathan and one great-granddaughter, Bradlee Spake.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 2:00 pm at West Anderson Church of God officiated by the Reverends John M. Daniel and Mark Daniel.
