Mary Henderson Barber, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Pickens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hassie Eugene Henderson and the late Clara Moore Henderson. She retired from JP Stevens after 42 years of service. Mary enjoyed volunteer work with the YMCA as a nursery teacher and as a nurse's aid at Ellenburg Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of Andersonville Baptist Church. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Sue Raines, of Easley, SC; three grandchildren, Fred Powell, Jane Turner, and Tammy Kelley; and three great-grandchildren, Janey, Sierra, and Joseph. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Barber; a son, Jimmy Turner; a son-in-law, Raymond Raines; and a brother, James Henderson. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Andersonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Evans officiating.
