The McDougald Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: MARY BENNETT ANDERSON, SC Mary Caroline Peters Bennett, age 94, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Mulberry, IN, on November 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Chester Madison Peters and the late Sadie Combs Peters. Mary grew up and lived in Mulberry, IN while in Indiana, she enjoyed many activities, including traveling with the Fred Shaffer All-Girls Orchestra and the Carl Craft's Band. She was a life-long member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Mulberry Eastern Star. In 2006 she moved to Anderson to be with her daughter. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson. She is survived by her children, Roger M. Bennett and his wife Brenda of Colfax, IN, Cheryl Williams, of Anderson, and Linda K. Bennett of Mulberry, IN; a brother, John Peters of IL; two sisters, Joann Dellinger and her husband Melvin, of Mulberry, IN and Susan McIntosh, of Frankfort, IN; four grandchildren, Robin Mouis, of Amilia, OH, Jessica Cavender, of Frankfort, IN, Kayla and Emily Bennett, all of Colfax , IN; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Jasmine Cavender. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Bennett; and a sister, Jean Army. The Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church , Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Paul Frey officiating. There will also be a Memorial Service held at Mulberry United Methodist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1809 N. Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Mulberry United Methodist Church, 206 Jefferson Road, Mulberry, IN 46058.
