The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, South Carolina 29621OBITUARY MARY ETTA HARRIS BRADYMAY 7, 1914 - FebrUARY 19, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Mary Etta Harris Brady, age 94, widow of the late Robert Lee Brady, the daughter of the late Clayton and Beulah Pressley Harris, and the last surviving member of her immediate family, went to be with God on February 19, 2009.'Granny Brady' retired from Anderson County School District No. Five as a cook at the age of 70, but she didn't slow down ' she would sit with the elderly and sick when anyone needed her. She made quilts for everyone in her family and she even sold some. She loved to go to the Blue Grass shows and sing along with the band. Music was a great part of her life. She was a child of God and went to Church every time the doors were open. She worked hard to support her Church and she was the oldest member of Glen Grove Church of God of Prophecy. She was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her.She is survived by four daughters: Beulah Suttles and Gail Bobo, both of Anderson, Madge Hix of Pendleton, and Carolyn Jefferson of Townville; one son, Jack Brady of Fair Play; thirty one grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.She was predeceased in death by her husband; parents; two sons: Owen Brady and Buddy 'E.J.' Brady; one daughter, Barbara Brown; five brothers: Henry, Jimmy, Ervin, Joe, and her twin, Edward; and one sister, Jevernia Sayers.The Funeral Service will be at 3pm on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Susan Allen and the Reverend Danny Driver.
