PENDLETON, SC- Mary Etta Jones Cantrell, 86, of 1310 Autun Road, Pendleton, SC, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at National Health Care of Anderson.Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Lucius Jackson Jones and Maggie Lou Moore Jones. Mrs. Jones was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of LaFrance and the Winsom Sunday School Class.She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charlie Earl Cantrell, sons; Stanley Cantrell and his wife, Mary Ellen of Pendleton, SC; Jack Cantrell of Anderson, SC; Randy Cantrell, and his wife, Pat of Kernersville, NC: and Rod Cantrell and his wife, Patsy of Pendleton, SC; sister, Virginia Sorrells of Seneca, SC; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 30, at Oconee Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Gene Burdette. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.Flowers are optional.
