HELEN KEATON April 23, 1922 - January 3, 2009ANDERSON, SCMrs. Mary Helen Cochran Keaton, age 86, of 1824 Airline Road, wife of the late Herbert Parks Keaton, passed away on Saturday, January 03, 2009 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on April 23, 1922, Mrs. Keaton was a daughter of the late L. M. Cochran and Mary Parker Cochran. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a retired educator with Anderson School District Three at Iva Elementary. She was a member of Varennes Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer and Church Historian. Survivors include her sons, Donald Parks Keaton of Boiling Springs and Douglas Warren Keaton and his wife, Elizabeth Clinkscales Keaton of Belton; brother, William F. Cochran of Seneca; sister, Eleanor C. Gailey of Iva; two grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Keaton and Amelia Anne Keaton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, J. Raymond Cochran and Louis McDuffie Cochran, Jr.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2008 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sanders Read and Reverend Frank Norris. Interment will follow in Varennes Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Iva.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, prior to the service.The family will be at the residence.
