Mary Lou Mitchell Cook, age 84, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born June 9, 1937, in Anderson, she was the only child of the late Tony and Cecil Sara Mitchell. Mary enjoyed decorating her home and raising cockatiels. She was a faithful member of Centerville Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She is survived by her children, Connie Zipperrich (Al), Gail Mirsky, Sandra Litten (Dan), Ray Cook (Lynn), and Shirley Cook; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jim Cook; and daughter, Susan Fowler. There will be a private family memorial service. The family wishes to thank Mary's close friend and care giver, Cheryl Young, and the nurses who also took care of Mary.
