MARY JANE DAVIS February 19, 1919 - April 3, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Mary Jane Whitaker Davis, age 88, of Anderson, SC and wife of fifty-seven years to the late James O. Davis, died Tuesday, April 03, 2007 at the National HealthCare in Anderson.Born in Roxana, KY on February 19, 1919, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Squire Whitaker and Ida Hogg Whitaker. She was a graduate of Stuart Robinson High School in Blackey, KY and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the P.E.D. and the Golden Hour Garden Club and active in other Garden Clubs. Mrs. Davis was a member of Roberts Presbyterian Church.Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Alexander of Tampa, FL and Jeffrey Tabol of Atlanta, GA; a brother, James Whitaker of Detroit MI; two sisters, Ina Mae Ison of Somerset, KY and Phyllis Ann Gibson of Spokane, WA; three grandchildren, Keith Alexander of New York, NY, Hope Bennett of Tampa, FL and Mary Anna Tabol of Washington, DC; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Bennett, Amy Bennett and Sarah Bennett.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2007 at 11:00 am at Roberts Presbyterian Church officiated by the Reverend Dale Rawlings.
