Mary Zola Donald Fowler, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Townville, SC on September 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Donald and the late Eva Rooks Donald. She was a licensed optician with Anderson Opticians retiring at age 79. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the choir, the Women's Auxiliary, Care Program, a children's Sunday School Teacher, and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Wayne Fowler and his wife Cherie; a granddaughter, Millicent Walker and her husband Drew; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Reece Walker; and a special friend of 29 years, Jerald Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Fowler; and her siblings, Furman Donald, Clifton Donald, Dan Donald, Thelma Whitfield, and Betty Whitfield. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Brent Lollis officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
