Mary Frances Hanvey Addis, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at her home.

Born November 23, 1949, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late W.T. Hanvey and Dessie Glenn Hanvey. She was also preceded in death by husband, Thomas Ronald Addis; a brother, William Hanvey and two sisters, Juanita Hood and Rachel Wiley.

Mary worked in various positions at Owens Corning Fiberglas. In 1983, she completed her high school education and graduated Valedictorian in her class. Her passion was working in her yard, keeping her great grandbabies, and attending sporting events of her grandchildren. Of all her pleasures in life, spending time with her family was her biggest joy.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Michelle Addis (Benji) Davis and Heather Addis Williams of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Joshua Clyde "J.C." Bridges, Colt Bridges, Taylor Williams, Shanna Williams, and Dillon Williams; great-grandchildren, Levi Bridges, Skylar Bridges, Dro Lowden, Marloh Miller, Ryan Hood and Nataleigh Hood and a sister, Shirley Heaton of Anderson, SC.

The family will be at the home at 104 Sweetbriar Circle, Anderson, SC 29626.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2024, from 11:00 am – 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan and Rev. Michael Joe Harvell officiating. Entombment will follow at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
