Mary Ann Stroud Hanna, age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born April 28, 1935, in Pickens County, SC, she was a daughter of the late John C. Stroud and Lilly Mosely Stroud. She was also preceded in death by 5 siblings.

Mary worked for Walmart for over 20 years, retiring at the age of 87 and formerly worked for Bi-Lo in the deli department. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed trips to the mountains, flower gardening, and butterflies. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Hanna (Tracy) of Abbeville, SC, and Jerry Hanna of Anderson, SC; brother, Virgil Stroud (Janice) of Belton, SC; sister, Lavonne Campbell (Tommy) of Williamston, SC; grandchildren, Kayla Garren (Josh), Ethan Hanna, Eli Hanna, Javier Hanna, Jasmine Hanna, and Lilly Hanna; and great grandchildren, Morgan, Braelynn, Theo, and Daisy.

No services are planned at this time.
