Mary Moore Hunt, age 92, passed away on December 9, 2017, at NHC Anderson. Born in Anderson, SC, on October 28, 1925, Mary was the daughter of the late Charlie Moore and the late Clara James Moore. She was formerly employed with Sears working in the Children's Department with 20 years of service retiring in 1988. She was also Past Worthy Matron of Anderson Chapter 130 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her children, James "Jim" C. Hunt, Jr. (Cathy), Rufus Dale Hunt (Jan), Ann Pierce (Rickey), and Kay Thrasher (Matt); 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford Hunt, Sr.; a granddaughter, Jamey Hunt; brother, Adron Moore; and sisters, Mabel Raines and Grace Fowler. The family will be at the home of Kay Thrasher, 1217 Marett Rd., Pendleton, SC, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, December 11, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Helen Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
