Mary Jewell Osborne Rogers, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at National Health Care of Anderson. Born in Anderson on February 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Lev Osborne and the late Lula Bell Shore Osborne. For sixty-five years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late William Matthew Rogers until his death in 2016. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Rogers Cole and her husband, Gary of Anderson and Donna Rogers Hanks, also of Anderson; two brothers, Harry Osborne and his wife, Evelyn and Leonard Osborne and his wife Eleanor, all of Anderson; one granddaughter, Amy Hanks Eskew of Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Anna Eskew and Troy Hanks. In addition to her parents and her husband, Bill, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by a grandson, Trey Hanks; a great-granddaughter, Bailey Lou Hanks, a brother, Billy Osborne, and a beloved pet of sixteen years, "Buffy." A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Rogers will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Brent Lollis and Mr. Harry Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
