Mrs. Mary Joyce Farmer Moore, age 75, of Belton, SC, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2023. Joyce was born June 15, 1947, in Anderson to Monroe and Fannie Farmer. During her life, she enjoyed taking care of others. She helped watch her brothers and sisters, raised her own children, helped watch and raise her grandchildren, and took care of her husband. With that being said, her love was bountiful and boundless. We have the assurance we will see her again. She will be missed and she will always be remembered as the woman who put others before herself. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy R. Moore, Sr.; son, Richard Moore (Summer); daughter, Crystal Sumeral (Jason); brother, James "Duner" Farmer; sisters, Shelby McCoy, Susan Peace, Sandra Farmer, and Deborah Hart (O.O.); and grandchildren, Justin Sumeral, and Magan Sumeral. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Farmer and Tony Farmer. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. A private committal service will be held at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the home.
