MARY LOUISE KING June 7, 1928 - August 26, 2012 Mrs. Mary Louise King, age 84, of Anderson, passed on to eternal life Sunday, August 26, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born June 7, 1928 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Pauline Gibbs. Mrs. King was a graduate of Girls High School in Anderson and had worked as a sales associate for several retail stores, but her passion was arts and crafts, especially knitting hats, scarves and baby blankets. In addition to her parents, Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband Claude J. King and sisters, Frances Gibbs, Evelyn King, and Sara Haley. Surviving family include her sons, C. Wayne King and Joni Fred King; daughters 'in-law', Debra King and Cindy King; grandsons, David Wayne King and Ian Corie King and their wives, Lorrie and Katie; sister, Brenda Driver; and brothers, Jimmy Gibbs and Rufus Gibbs. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2 PM until 3 PM followed by the funeral service which will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 3:30 pm.
