Mary "Frances" Westbrook Lowie, age 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her home. Born March 14, 1935, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Fred P. Westbrook and Louella McAbee Westbrook. She was married to Laland D. Lowie until his death in 2014. Frances was retired from the Scott Company and was a member of Broadway Lake Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and dancing, especially square dancing. Frances loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Jane Campbell (David) of Belton and Fredner Elaine Tilley (Johnny) of Anderson; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tony Wayne Lowie; granddaughter, Jennifer Garrison; brothers, Fred and Claude Henry Westbrook; and sister, Bonnie Mae Simmons. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Early Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcomed and memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital of Greenville, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at the home of Johnny and Fredner Tilley.
