Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late William Fletcher Blackwell and Dolia Iona Bowen Blackwell. Survivors include her son, Dwayne Matthew Johnson; two grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson and Dwayne Matthew Johnson, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene and Dewitt Blackwell; sisters, Margaret Jones, Evelyn Sisco, Alice Hendrix and Pearl Tharrington. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Dr. Darla L. Wisler. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1: 30pm on Friday at The McDougald Funeral Home. The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
