MARY A. McGAHA Mary A. McGaha, age 78, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Belton on July 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Darby N. Kelly and the late Anna Hanley Kelly. Mrs. McGaha was a homemaker and she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA. She loved her family, her church and gospel music. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James Carl McGaha of Belton; a son, Darby Cox (Tammy) of Anderson; 4 daughters, Diane Jordan of Belton, Judy Ashworth (David) of Honea Path, Nancy O'Neal (Mac) of Belton, and Patsy Cantrell (Rod) of Pendleton; a step-son, Mark McGaha and 2 step-daughters, Darlene Holland and Tammy Stewart, all of Franklin, NC. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGaha was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Lee; a stepson, Michael McGaha; a brother, Pinky Kelly; and sisters Lilian Kelly and Louise Caldwell. The family will be at the home of Nancy and Mac O'Neal, 512 Griffin Road, Belton, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. McGaha will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014,at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Randall Starett officiating.
