Mary Janet Shiflet Motes, age 69, of Belton, SC, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home with her husband by her side. Born October 24, 1952, in Royston, GA, she was a daughter of Macy Hill Shiflet and the late L.J. Shiflet. Queenie loved all animals but especially her dogs and goats. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and collecting antiques. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Allen Motes; sister, Ann Campbell (Carl); and nephew, Richie Campbell. Queenie and Allen renewed their wedding vows November 11, 2011 at a special ceremony on the beach. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alex Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621 and Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3204 Amity Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
