Mrs. Murphy was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pickens Murphy, Sr.Survivors include her children: son, William Pickens Murphy, Jr. and wife, Evelyn Murphy, of Anderson; son, Ernest Palmer Murphy and special friend, Randall G. Chumley, of Atlanta; son, Marshall Jackson Murphy and wife, Beth Murphy, of Greenville; twin sister, Martha Palmer Rankin of Anderson; grandsons: Ernest Pence Murphy and special friend, Wesley Turner, of Anderson and Marshall Pickens Murphy of Greenville; granddaughters: Margaret McCoy Murphy and Blythe Palmer Murphy, both of Greenville.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2008 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Dr. William R. Childs. Interment will follow in the Belton Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Dr. David J.
