Mary Newby, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Iva Post Acute Care.

Born December 10, 1938, in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Market and Veronica Dillon Market. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Doug Newby and a daughter, Patricia Ann Newby.

Mary worked as a loom operator in textiles and in church daycares. She loved children, but her family was her most important treasure in life. She dedicated herself to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Krista Usina (Chuck) of St. Augustine, FL; a sister, Veronica Cannella (Victor); grandchildren, Christopher Brown (Claudia), Dylan Brown, Kirsten Brown; great-grandchildren, Caroline Brown, Kaleb Brown, Deegan Brown and Matthew Brown.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Phillips officiating.
