RHODESAPRIL 10, 1931 - DeceMBER 21, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Mary Joan Burriss Rhodes, age 78, wife of the late Walter Lee Rhodes, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC, on April 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Burriss and Annie Mae Elrod Burriss. Following a banking career, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Rhodes was of the Baptist faith.Survivors include grandchildren: Justin Rhodes and wife, Christy, Brandon Rhodes and wife, Leah, Holly Franklin, and Preston Franklin; and one great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rhodes.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, David Michael Rhodes and Stephen Gra Rhodes; and one brother, Thomas Henry Burriss.A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Reverend Steve Silvey.
