Born in Williamston, SC she was the daughter of the late Carl and Essie Poole. She lived in Anderson, SC for 65 years. Mrs. Richey was married January 13, 1936 to Benard Earle Richey who predeceased her on May 21, 1990. She was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. She particularly enjoyed working in her beautifully landscaped yard and enjoyed taking care of her family and cooking. Mrs. Richey worked at Sears for 27 years as a loyal member of the credit department where she had many dear friends and co-workers. She will be dearly missed by her son Ronald and his wife, Geraldine. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William Earl Richey; brothers, B.F., James, Tom and Douglas Poole. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
