Mary Anne Stephens Ryals, age 80, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at her home. Born September 21, 1941, in Pendleton, SC, she was a daughter of the late Oscar L. Stephens and Myrtle Lee Stephens. She was married for 52 years to James S. Ryals until his death in August 2020. Mary was formerly employed with Walmart and in her younger years worked at Southern Weaving. She enjoyed reading her Bible and sitting on her porch. Mary loved to travel, especially enjoying time in the mountains. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. Mary was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, James Mitchell Ryals (Tracy); daughters, Deborah Renee' White and Robin Annette Davis; grandchildren, Jake White, Dillon White, Blake Ryals and Michael Ryals; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Patricia Marie Allen and Kyle Dean Allen; and sister, Martha J. Dunn. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 3:00-5:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers include Blake Ryals, Michael Ryals, Dillon White, Jake White, Steve Collins and Charles Spearman.
