Mary Sprinkle Anderson, SC Mary Anna Otterson Sprinkle, age 77, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born in Cream Ridge, NJ, on February 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. Otterson, Sr. and the late Ellen Clegg Otterson. She was a graduate of Allentown High School in Allentown, NJ. She retired from Western Union after many years of service. She was a member of the Mt. Holly Eastern Star #120, where she served as past Grand Matron and past Grand Officer. She was a member of New Prospect Church where she sang in the church choir. She is survived by her daughter, Irene E. Sprinkle, of Anderson, SC; and two brothers, John Otterson and his wife Judith, of Starke, FL and James Otterson and his wife Jerry, of Niagara Falls, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Jerome Sprinkle; a daughter, Barbara Ann Sprinkle; and a brother, Henry L. Otterson, Jr. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at New Prospect Baptist Church, at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Tony Smith and Reverend Tom Turner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Sprinkle's ashes will be interred at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund, 2503 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
