Born in Chattanooga, TN, on January 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Albert Arthur Strickland and Alice Lily Lambert Strickland. She was retired from the dietary department at Ellenburg Nursing Center and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her sons, Butch Scott and his wife Jeannette of Starr, Mike Scott and his wife Dana of Starr, and Marion Scott of Anderson, daughters, Thelma Hames and her husband Joe of Anderson and Jannie McGee and her husband Ken of Iva. She is also survived by a sister Becky Langford of Anderson, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Floyd A. Scott Sr. and James Earle Scott and a brother, Arthur Strickland.A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 6-8 pm.
