Mary Elizabeth Thrasher, age 76, of Seneca, SC, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 20, 1944 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Noah Thrasher and Fannie Lawton Thrasher. Mary enjoyed reading and spending time with her beloved dog, Gracie. She attended Grace Baptist Church of Seneca. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Joyce Glenn and Reba Blalock; and special friend, Vera McFarland. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Robert, Harold, Travis, and Billy Ray Thrasher; and sisters, Audrey Fuller and Wanda Thrasher. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Friday, January 29, 2021, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sandy Springs, SC, with Rev. Gary Stewart officiating.
