Mary Alice Moore Wiles, age 87, of Iva, SC, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Iva Post-Acute. Born October 6, 1934, in Abbeville, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Larry Moore and Alma Brown Moore. She was married to the late Melvin Leon Wiles. Mary enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, sewing, and gardening. She was an excellent cook and was fondly called a shopaholic for her love of shopping. She was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Carey L. Wiles (Donna) of Starr, SC; daughter, Lone Keasler of Starr, SC; grandchildren, Adam Wiles (Laurie) of Greenville, SC, Jim Wiles of Iva, SC, Jason McDowell (Haley) of Lexington, SC, Jeff Bowen of Raleigh, NC, Ashley Cook (Eric) of Starr, SC and Jennifer Roach (Justin) of Starr, SC; and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Johnsie Turner, Imogene Jones, and Mable Cleveland. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery with Rev. Curt Hanna officiating.
