Woodson of 1402 Stonehurst Drive, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at NHC HealthCare in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on June 23, 1930, Mrs. Woodson was a daughter of the late Walter A. Brown and Mamie Lou Moore Brown. She attended Girls' High School and worked for many years at Abney Mills, Orr Lyons Mill and later worked as a salesperson at Gallant Belk Department Store. She was a member of Sandy Springs Family Worship Center. Mrs. Woodson was a loving and devoted Christian lady who loved her family and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 62 years of the home; son, Jimmy Woodson and his wife, Jan; grandsons, Brian Woodson and his wife, Kendra and Russell Woodson and his wife Julie; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Kaylee Woodson, all of Anderson; sisters, Louise Wooten and Jeanette Fortner, also of Anderson.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Jerry Dean Woodson and William Allen Woodson; a brother, Milton Brown and a sister, Bonnie Heaton.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010, at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Gerald Murphy and Tommy Wooten. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.The family will be at the home of her son, 2505 Saxony Drive, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
