Matthew Joseph Gossett, age 41, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born December 30, 1982, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Irene Frances Geisel Gossett and the late Garry Lee Gossett.

Matthew was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church in Central. Among his favorite things to do were watching Barney, listening to vibrations of music, and swimming. He also loved animals and riding golf carts.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Jaml Lee Gossett, Daniel Vernon Gossett, and Amanda Rose Gossett.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Carl Poole officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 7:00 pm.
