Matthew Anthony Hooper, age 32, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. Born May 19, 1989, in Anderson, he was the son of Anthony SA'an and Renee Hooper, and Beth and Larry Byars. Matthew was employed with UPS. He was an amazing cook and had a kind and compassionate heart. He was loved and cherished by his family and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Courtney Renee Coffman Hooper; children, Bella, Chloe, Allyana, and Nia Hooper, and A.J. and Tyler Coffman; siblings, Jonathan Bailey Hooper (Rachael), Sarah Hooper, Lauren Hamby (Derek), and Will Byars (Kayla); and godparents, Patricia Kerr and the late Eddie Kerr. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Parnell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 6:00 pm. The family will be at their respective homes.
