ANDERSON, SCMattie G. Seabolt, age 80, of 210 Sumter Street, Anderson. SC, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at her home after a longtime illness.Born in Hartwell, GA, on February 26, 1930, Mrs. Mattie Grace Seabolt was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Hicks and Viola Dodgens Hicks. She was a retired hostess of Comfort Inn of Greenville.Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Carol Arflin, Shirley Ann Culbertson and Susan Diane Arflin all of Anderson; two nieces, two nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Susan Rebecca Strickland. She also has eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the late Joel E. Seabolt and Lewis G. Arflin; two sons, Lewis G. Arflin, Jr. and Michael R. Seabolt; one daughter, Frances J. Garrett; one brother, Thomas Hicks; one sister, Audrey Martin and one great-grandchild, Corey P. James.The Funeral Service will be Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Bo Trotter officiating.
