Maureen Shaw Chamblee, 87, of Starr, SC, joined the love of her life Whit Chamblee on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Born on January 8, 1935 to the late William and Onie Burdette Shaw. Maureen spent her life raising her children, grandchildren, great-children and fixing hair. She was a grandma to most everyone in the community and anyone who met her. Maureen was a member of Starr Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Onie Burdette Shaw, her husband H. Dwain "Whit" Chamblee, daughter Wendy Loftis Todd, brothers Marvin, Bub and Pete Shaw and sister Sally Prevost. She was the last member of her immediate family. Survivors include her children, Eddie (Sandra) Loftis, Gary (Wanda) Loftis and Sandy (Rob Burgess) Chamblee and son-in-law Tommy Todd; grandchildren, Shea (Julie) Loftis, Jennifer (David) McCloskey, Scott (Stephanie) Loftis, Christie Huffman (Shaun Devine), Jason (Kristen) Anderson, James (Sarah) Loftis, Cory (Ashley) Anderson, and Ethan Chamblee-Burgess; great-grandchildren, Perry (Raleigh) Loftis, Breanna Loftis (Graylyn Christenbury), Trent Loftis, Mason Anderson (Heaven Brown), Phillip Anderson, Hoke Anderson, Dustie and Blake Been, Dylan Huffman, Zachary, Jessica, Justin and Austin McCloskey, Ava and Colt Loftis, Olivia (Cameron) Pacheco, Caitlyn and Drake Ray, Lauren Parnell and Kinsley (Blake) Foster and great-great grandchildren, Anthony Been, Russell Pacheco, Nixon Foster and Dawson Whit Loftis. As well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family is also grateful for all the friends and family who called, visited, sent cards, during Maureen's illness, especially nephew Bill Chamblee and family friend Sandy Sutherland. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Starr Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Howell officiating. The family is at the home of Sandy Chamblee and Rob Burgess.
