Melvin T. Bryson, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born May 30, 1930, in Danielsville, GA, he was a son of the late DeWitt Bryson and Lettie Hedden Bryson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Romola Collins Bryson; and a son, Dr. Alan Bryson.

Melvin was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Southern Bell. He was a Mason and enjoyed fishing, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Dr. Don Bryson (Janie) of Oil Springs, KY, and Nathan Bryson (Beth) of Rome, GA; brothers, David Bryson (Cathy) of Anderson, SC, and D.A. Bryson (Linda) of Daytona Beach Shores, FL; sister, Mozelle Acker of Anderson, SC; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A private service will be held.
