Melvin Harrison Phillips, age 78, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016, in Charlotte. He was born in Anderson, SC on April 16, 1938. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Carol Duncan Phillips of Charlotte; a daughter, Debra Phillips of Charlotte; and a grandson, Andrew Phillips of Washington, DC.
