MERRI BOWIE Merri Jo Bowie Soncrant passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, in Anderson. Born in Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Bowie Soncrant was the daughter of the late Clara Boggs Kern and A. J. Kern. She was a retired school teacher who ended her career teaching the last six years in Atlanta, GA, with three of those years at North Fulton High School and three years at Chattahoochee Elementary School. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include dear friends David and Diane Schonauer; a lifelong friend, Doris Vic McDonald; and additional friends Peggy Bridgeman and Mary Ann Cardenas. Merri Jo was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph E Bowie and J.J. Soncrant. She and Mr. Bowie were realtors and owners of the Anderson Book Nook. Interment will be private, with The McDougald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1303 McLees Road,
