MICHAEL EUGENE BURDETTEAugust 21, 1954 - December 27, 2005ANDERSON, SCMr. Michael Eugene Burdette, age 51, husband of Lois McGirt Burdette of 2703 Millgate Road, Anderson, SC, has gone home to Glory on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on August 21, 1954, Mr. Burdette was a son of the late Thomas Fred Burdette Sr., and Blanche Craft Burdette. He was a graduate McDuffie High School and Tri-County Technical College. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserves 328th Signal Company from 1979 to 1985. He was retired from Springs Industries as a senior electronics technician. Mr. Burdette was a member of Ruff Masonic Lodge #240 and Gethsemane Baptist Temple in Starr.Survivors include his wife, Lois McGirt Burdette of the home; a son, Michael Christopher Burdette of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Outlaw and her husband, Ben of Anderson, SC; a brother, Jerry Edwin Burdette and his wife, Sherry of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Patsy Whiten and her husband, George of Belton, SC and Dorothy Simpson of Iva, SC; two grandchildren, Jenna Lauren 'Stormie' Outlaw and Jarod Burdette and aunt, Ruby S. Craft of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several friends and special caring people who loved him.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Fred Burdette, Jr., Harry Randall Burdette, Joe B. Burdette and James Howard Burdette.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sam Duncan and the Reverend Gene Burdette. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
